      Within the steel frame, as standard, high-performing insulation is fitted. Optional specialist Acoustic Insulation can also be used for privacy and noise control.

    • Light-Gauge Galvanised Steel Frame

      Manufactured in the UK using precision-engineered cold-formed steel with a galvanised zinc coating to resist rust and maintain long-term durability. Steel frame lifetime warranty provided.

    • External Wrap & Composite Cladding

      Vapour barrier and insulated breathable membrane wraps the building. Durable composite cladding offers a modern aesthetic with minimal maintenance (cleaning), available in a variety of finishes and colours.

      Seamless EPDM rubber or composite panels provide long-lasting, low-maintenance waterproof protection.

    • Galvanised Steel Roof Frame

      Cold-formed, galvanised steel rafters provide a lightweight but durable structural frame.

    • High-Performance Roof Insulation

      Warm-deck, PIR insulation (minimum 150mm) with a U-value of 0.18 W/m²K or better is fitted over rafters for excellent thermal and sound performance.

    • Internal Insulated Plasterboard

      Installed as the interior ceiling finish — a rigid board with integrated insulation, plastered and ready for decoration and lighting.

      Ground screws installed to engineer’s specifications provide a durable, rot-free foundation, ensuring a stable and solid sub-structure foundation for the building. The benefit of ground screws allows the earth below to remain free-draining and does not affect the life of tree roots.

      A precision-built steel floor grid sits raised on ground screws — strong, rot-proof, and quick to install.

    • High-Performance Floor Insulation

      PIR insulation are packed between steel joists to insulate against both heat loss and cold ingress.

      Moisture-resistant, interlocking boards create a sturdy base layer, ideal for high-traffic use and indoor finishes with a electric underfloor heating installed below final floor finish.

In most cases, no. The majority of our steel garden offices fall comfortably within permitted development guidelines. Should planning approval be necessary, we handle the process and guide you every step of the way. Please note that building regulations do apply if you wish to include a bathroom.
